Torrington Campus

An education from UConn’s Torrington campus is defined by frequent student-faculty interaction. Faculty members are teachers, advisors and mentors to our outstanding student population. UConn Torrington offers high-tech classrooms, an art studio, bookstore, and student lounge.

Students enrolled at the Torrington campus can complete select bachelor’s degree programs through a partnership with UConn’s Torrington, Greater Hartford and Waterbury locations. Current majors include English, Urban and Community Studies, American Studies, Psychology, Human Development and Family Studies, and Business and Technology.

Students enrolled at the Torrington campus may also complete the first two years of study that are required for most of the more than 100 undergraduate academic majors that UConn offers. Upon completion of these core curriculum course credits, students can transition to the Storrs campus to complete their bachelor’s degree.

The Torrington Campus is actively involved in the local community, including economic development and the arts. The Campus is home to the Litchfield County Writers Project which houses a collection of published works and hosts programs and seminars featuring local authors.
