UConn's Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture is the only school at UConn to offer an Associate of Applied Science degree, which provides the opportunity to learn in the classroom and beyond. Whether you hope to breed livestock, manage turfgrass on an NFL field, become a licensed arborist, or something in between, the School offers practical experience to ready graduates for fulfilling careers.

Ratcliffe Hicks students have access to many outstanding facilities for learning about modern agricultural research, industry practices, and current technology.

• Plant Science students benefit from the Burr Teaching Nursery, greenhouses, turf plots, putting greens and irrigation systems.
• Animal Science facilities include two indoor arenas and outdoor riding rings, poultry, dairy, livestock, and horse units, and food science and laboratories.
• Urban Forestry and Arboriculture students utilize the 580-acre Fenton Track, the largest contiguous parcel of the UConn Forest, for the majority of their major-specific classwork.
• High-tech classrooms, labs and study areas provide facilities to learn and apply knowledge while interacting with other students, professors and staff.
