Undergraduate Admissions

Special Programs

Apply to one of UConn's special programs for a coordinated curriculum that includes four years of undergraduate preparation in any of UConn's bachelor's degree programs, followed by optional enrollment in UConn's School of Medicine, School of Dental Medicine, or School of Law. At the conclusion, you'll have earned both your undergraduate degree and an MD, DMD, or JD.

Students receive one-on-one support throughout their undergraduate years to prepare them for the challenges of professional school. Opportunities that combine participating in unique programming events, taking courses with professors in the affiliated graduate school, and securing mentorship from practicing professionals create a successful professional applicant.

To be considered for a Special Program in Medicine, Dental Medicine, or Law, the application deadline is November 1. Special Program applicants are required to submit a supplemental application by November 8. Special Programs admission decisions are released in early-March.

Applying Early Decision is not required to meet the Special Programs in Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Law November 1 application deadline. Students may apply through Early Decision or Regular Decision and still be considered for Special Program admission.
