Dining
Food for thought.
We take food seriously here. Whether we are winning awards for best vegan recipe, or being ranked as a top institution for gluten-free alternatives, you won't go hungry at UConn. Our dining units, all of which you can - and should - sample, each have their own atmosphere and menu. Choose to eat in a smaller, more intimate spot or in a popular food court. Here's the best part - students living on campus have unlimited access to the resident dining units during operating hours. That means grab a coffee at 7 a.m. and your bagel at 8 - it's OK by us.
Help yourself to full salad and deli bars. Enjoy fresh fruits, dozens of cereals, veggies, and beverages. Indulge in baked-on-campus breads and our homemade UConn Dairy Bar ice cream. Selections include sophisticated international cuisine, Kosher and Halal food stations, vegetarian, and gluten-free meals. Savor cage-free eggs and garden-fresh produce provided by UConn's EcoHouse Living Learning Community and the Spring Valley Student Farm. Our award-winning Spa Foods provides students who are eating on-the-go with a variety of healthy, low-calorie, and low-fat salads and wraps.
We offer buffet-style meals seven days a week in our campus dining centers, which include a number of marketplace-style cafés. Dining facilities are located in or near each residence hall.
