Verto Huskies Pathway

Verto Huskies Pathway is an agreement between UConn and Verto Education that provides high-achieving students who have applied for admission to UConn with an opportunity to study abroad with Verto Education and then seamlessly transfer to UConn for the remainder of their college experience.
Program Requirements
- Maintain full-time student credit status while participating in Verto Huskies Pathway
- Achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0
- Live in on-campus housing during the first semester at UConn

Where Do I begin?
Students are invited to join Verto Huskies Pathway as part of their admission decision. To officially enroll at Verto Education and secure a spot at UConn, students accepted to the program must complete and submit the following by May 1, 2025:
- The Interest Form and non-refundable deposit to Verto Education accessible with the link provided in your UConn Applicant Portal
- The UConn Reply Form and non-refundable enrollment fee through the UConn Applicant Portal

By partnering with Verto Education, the University of Connecticut offers select students direct entrance to UConn, following successful completion of Verto Huskies Pathway.
Individualized Learning
Class sizes are capped at 25 students and focus on experiential education, including hands-on projects, field trips, and service learning. You’ll join first-year college students from across the country, many who are participating in similar pathway with one of Verto’s partner colleges.
Transferable Credits
Courses are delivered by Verto’s academic provider, the University of New Haven, and are mapped for transferability to UConn. This means the credits you earn abroad will fulfill UConn’s degree requirements.

Verto Huskies Pathway Student Checklist
Reserve your place in Verto Huskies Pathway by completing your Interest Form and paying the non-refundable deposit to Verto Education using the link provided in your UConn applicant portal. Then complete the additional Reply Form and non-refundable enrollment fee for the University of Connecticut by May 1, 2025.

Send an official transcript from your high school to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by July 1. Transcripts should include your graduation date and must be received directly from the institution either electronically or by mail in a sealed envelope.
During your time abroad, you will be invited to UConn’s onboarding portal where you will complete a series of tasks including registering for an orientation session. All new students are required to attend an orientation session where you’ll learn more about our academic programs, student community, and on-campus services; meet with an academic advisor; and select spring semester classes. Students who wish to apply for financial aid for their first semester at UConn must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For the best possible financial aid offer, the FAFSA must be received by the FAFSA Processing System by UConn’s on-time deadline of February 15.
Financial aid is unavailable through the University of Connecticut while participating in Verto Huskies Pathway, however, scholarship opportunities are available through Verto Education. Visit the Verto Education link found in your applicant portal for detailed information.
Students participating in Verto Huskies Pathway are required to live in on-campus during their first semester at UConn. During your time abroad, you will be invited to submit the online housing application found at reslife.uconn.edu. Details regarding the housing selection/assignment process will be sent to your personal email account.
