First Generation and Diversity at UConn (45m)
Join us to learn about UConn’s support for First Generation and Students of Color. We will discuss how the University fosters a campus climate of diversity, inclusion, access, collegiality and equity. We will also review the application process, academic and research opportunities and student life.
The Lodewick Visitors Center provides student-guided campus tours for prospective students and their families, group tours for high school students, and other specialty tours. Student tour leaders provide information about the admission process, our quality academic programs and campus life. Campus tours are offered year-round and are available most Mondays through Saturdays. Combine a tour with a visit to our award-winning Dairy Bar — walk, learn, and reward yourself with New England's best ice cream!
- 30-minute, student-led information session followed by a 90-minute walking tour;
- Visit to a room in a residence hall, academic buildings, Student Union, and Gampel Pavilion;
- Photo with the statue of UConn's mascot, Jonathan the Husky. Don’t forget to rub his nose for a bit of good luck!
