Husky-for-a-Day

UConn’s distinctive Husky-for-a-Day Program on the Storrs main campus offers admitted students an up-close look at UConn life. Participants will be matched* with a current UConn student and explore campus as it was meant to be seen — from the student perspective!
A Husky-for-a-Day visit consists of:
- Attending a UConn class with your student host
- Visiting a residence hall
- Exploring campus
- Enjoying a provided lunch in a campus dining unit
- Interacting with current UConn students, faculty, and staff
The program begins with an “all-things-UConn” presentation from our student Husky Ambassadors. Accompanying family members are invited to attend the morning informational session. While students are with their UConn hosts, families are welcome to join a pre-arranged campus tour or explore campus on their own. Parking is available in the North and South garages for a nominal fee.
Husky-for-a-Day visits for admitted students are available Mondays–Thursdays from March 23–April 23.
For questions about the Husky-for-a-Day Program, please contact the Lodewick Visitors Center by emailing tours@uconn.edu or calling 860-486-4900.
*The Husky-for-a-Day Program does its best to pair visiting students with a current student of the same or of a similar major; however, please note that major matching is not always possible.
