Choosing to apply Early Decision signifies your unwavering commitment to UConn as your top-choice institution. Early Decision is a binding commitment, meaning that if admitted, you agree to enroll at UConn and withdraw any applications submitted to other colleges.

Early Decision applicants must submit their completed application and all supporting materials by November 1. A completed Self-reported Transcript and Academic Record (STAR) is required of Early Decision applicants and must be received by November 8.

Additional Information

  • Early Decision applicants who are not admitted to their first choice campus or do not receive their first choice major are not committed to the Early Decision Agreement.
  • If a decision is deferred to the regular admissions cycle, the Early Decision applicant is no longer committed to the Early Decision Agreement.
  • Early Decision applicants who are also applying to a Special Program will be bound by the Early Decision Agreement regardless of the outcome of the Special Program decision. Special Program decisions will be released in early March.
