School of Fine Arts
Programs in Acting, Art, Design/Technical Theatre, Music, Music Education, Puppetry, and Theatre Studies require either a portfolio, audition or interview in addition to the undergraduate application. There are no additional requirements for Art History majors. Admission decisions for these programs will not be made until the Office of Undergraduate Admissions receives results of your portfolio review, audition, or interview. Electronic submission through SlideRoom is available for most Fine Arts majors.

Nursing:

- 3.5 cumulative GPA (4.0 scale)
- Completed prerequisites in physics (one year high school physics is acceptable), biology, chemistry, and mathematics
Due to the competitive nature of UConn's School of Nursing, limited seats are available and admission is extremely selective.
School of Pharmacy
Pharmacy:
Minimum criteria for consideration for the School of Pharmacy's professional program:
- Preferred minimum of 2.7 cumulative GPA (4.0 scale)
- Completed pre-requisite pre-professional coursework found on the School of Pharmacy's Pharm.D. webpage. Completion of UConn's general education requirements is recommended but is not a requirement for admission.
- Pharmacy College Admissions Test PCAT (not required for 2021 applicants)
- Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS) application and check UConn School of Pharmacy

School of Social Work
Social Work:
Minimum criteria for consideration:
- Must have completed 54 credits including all or majority of the general education credits required by UConn from an accredited college/university. Review of transfer credits will be considered as part of your application evaluation.
- Must have a competitive GPA
Application process:
- The application including required components and instructions for submission (the application will open December 15)
- BSW Recommendation Form - Three references are required:
- REQUIRED: An academic instructor who has graded your academic work and/or who can assess your potential for success in the professional program; AND,
- REQUIRED: An academic advisor; AND,
- A work/volunteer supervisor; OR,
- A professional who has contributed to your leadership development and/or provided academic coaching to support you as a scholar
Please note: The School of Social Work is located at UConn Hartford and students admitted to the BSW program will be part of the UConn Hartford community. Students accepted to the BSW program do have the option to reside on the Storrs Main Campus, however, the majority of courses must be taken at UConn Hartford for BSW program completion.
