Health & Safety

Since our main campus in Storrs is essentially its own town, UConn has its own Division of University Safety. Our own police and fire departments, as well as the Office of Emergency Management, ensure a safe and secure campus for all of our students. In the event of an emergency, our campus-wide Alert Notification System informs the community of the situation, its severity, and the appropriate actions to take. All students are encouraged to register their cell phones with our system. Primary medical care, a women’s clinic, nutrition services, counseling and mental health services, physical therapy, and more are offered through Student Health Services on campus. Learn more…
