Storrs Open House for Prospective Students

Spend the day as it was meant to be seen – from the student perspective! Prospective students have the opportunity to attend a class, visit a residence hall, enjoy lunch in a dining hall and explore campus with a current student host.

  • Faculty representing UConn's ten schools and colleges
  • Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid overview
  • Transfer student panel and Q&A
  • Breakout sessions on Residential Life, Career Development, and Enrichment Programs

Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. with welcome sessions beginning promptly at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided.

School of Fine Arts: Discovery Day for Prospective Students at Storrs

Observe and participate in classes, workshops, presentations, and exhibits for a unique opportunity to explore what it is like to be a student in the School of Fine Arts at the University of Connecticut in one of the four exciting artistic disciplines: Art & Art History, Dramatic Arts, Digital Media & Design, and Music.

Parking is available in the North and South garages and the Storrs Center Parking Garage (located on Royce Circle) for a nominal fee.

Digital Media Discovery Evening

6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

The University of Connecticut Digital Media and Design Department invites you to attend a Digital Media Discovery Evening at UConn Stamford. The event is open to prospective high school seniors and juniors who want to learn more about Digital Media, and the expanding selection of career opportunities that exist in Connecticut and beyond. Short keynote presentations from faculty and alumni will help de-mystify this highly disruptive field, while also offering specific information about one of UConn’s most popular programs. 

The Digital Media & Design major is available at the Storrs and Stamford campuses, and offers concentrations in support of the following areas:

•    Digital Media Strategies for Business
•    Web/Interactive Media Design
•    Motion Media
•    3D Animation
•    Game Design and Development

Students interested in the creative fields, as well as areas such as social meida, marketing, business, communications, computer science, and the humanities, should consider attending this event. For more information, contact or visit
